JUST IN: Court Grants Omoyele Sowore ₦10M Bail

Nigerian activist Omoyele Sowore receives ₦10 million bail from the court, following recent legal proceedings. 

Omoyele Sowore, the leader of the #RevolutionNow movement, has been granted bail set at ₦10 million with a requirement for one surety in an equivalent amount.

The guarantor must be a responsible person who owns real estate of equal value.

The guarantor is required to submit the original land property documents along with a passport-sized photograph to the court registrar.

In his decision regarding the bail application, Justice Musa Liman instructed Sowore to submit his international passport to the court’s registrar.

The judge, nevertheless, granted him 24 hours to meet the bail conditions; otherwise, he would be detained by the police until they were fulfilled.
