Fuad Kayode-Laguda has emerged as the winner of the primary election for the Surulere 1 Federal Constituency in Lagos, according to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Laguda will be taking over from Femi Gbajabiamila, the former speaker of the House of Representatives, who previously represented the Lagos constituency before being appointed as Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu.
Laguda secured the party ticket for the upcoming election in the constituency after defeating other contestants in the election held at the Teslim Balogun stadium on Saturday. The nationwide bye-election for vacant seats is set to take place on February 3.
