JUST IN: Bobrisky Found Guilty by Court
Bobrisky, the controversial cross-dresser, also known as Idris Okuneye, appeared before the Federal High Court in Lagos on Friday, facing charges related to abusing the Naira. Justice Abimbola Awogboro convicted him after carefully reviewing the facts of the case.
During his allocutus, Bobrisky expressed that he was unaware of the law regarding the abuse of the Naira. He emphasized his status as a social media influencer with a substantial following of over five million followers. However, the judge reminded him that ignorance of the law does not excuse the offense.

He vowed to create a video on his social media page to educate people about the proper handling of money, expressing remorse for his actions and promising not to repeat them.
Prior to his appearance in court, Bobrisky was arraigned on four counts of Naira abuse by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Despite his initial plea of guilt to the charges, he seized the opportunity during his allocutus to express his regret for his actions and seek a chance to rectify his mistake through education and awareness.
