The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has been tasked with providing Nigerians with the total number of Permanent Voters Cards that eligible voters have obtained. There are four days till the general elections are held.
Babatunde Raji Fashola, the Minister of Works and Housing and Director of the APC Presidential Campaign Council’s (PCC) Election Planning and Monitoring Directorate, made the demand on Tuesday during a press conference.

It “is vital to enhance the legitimacy of the process that they are preparing for” to make available to Nigerians the entire number of PVCs gathered in states and local governments, according to Fashola.
Checks showed that Professor Mahmood Yakubu, the chairman of the commission, had stated in January of last year that 93,469,008 Nigerians had registered as PVC voters for the general elections of 2023.
