Following a brief illness, Alhaji Dr. Ado Ibrahim, the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland and paramount monarch of Ebira land, passed away at the age of 95.
He has been receiving treatment at a private hospital in Abuja for a while, according to information acquired with reliability by Tribune Online on Sunday.
The person with knowledge of the situation claims that the Paramount monarch passed away early on Sunday morning.
His remains are anticipated to be returned to Okene and buried today in accordance with Muslim customs.
He is the current Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, a traditional state with its capital at Okene, Kogi State, and was born on February 7, 1929. He is the fourth traditional king of the state.
He completed his primary education in 1940 at the Native Authority (NA) primary school in Okene, Northern Region (now Kogi State), having previously attended both Western nursery and Quranic schools.
He attended Ondo Boys High School for his secondary schooling before transferring to Oduduwa College, from which he graduated in 1949.
He graduated from the London School of Economics in 1954 with a bachelor’s degree in economics and Harvard Business School in 1959 with a master’s degree.
He succeeded Alhaji Sanni Omolori, who ruled from 1957 to 1997, as the Ohinoyi of Ebira land when he was crowned in 1997 by the late Prince Abubakar Audu, the governor of Kogi State at the time.
