June 12: Sowore Urges Nigerians to Protest Against Tinubu, Claims ‘He Ruined Us
Omoyele Sowore, a well-known activist, has called upon Nigerians to participate in a large-scale protest against President Bola Tinubu’s administration on Wednesday, June 12.
Sowore expressed his belief that Tinubu’s administration has caused great harm to Nigerians and has led to widespread hardship in the country.
He conveyed this message through a post on his official platform.
In Sowore’s words: “The power of the people is much stronger than the people in power. -Wael Ghonim
“Nigerians from all corners of the nation and the world are invited to join the nationwide protest against the Tinubu regime tomorrow, which will be organized by the @TIBmovement #RevolutionNow.
“The regime led by Bola Tinubu has severely damaged the Nigerian economy and has subjected the Nigerian population to unprecedented levels of hardship.”
It is important to note that the Nigerian government had designated June 12 as Democracy Day.
Initially, June 12 was chosen to commemorate the annulment of the 1993 presidential election, which was won by the late MKO Abiola.
However, the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari decided to move Democracy Day from May 29 to June 12.
