Joseph Benjamin condemns Eniola Ajao’s use of Bobrisky in movie promotion
Actor and television host Joseph Benjamin has criticized Eniola Ajao for her involvement in promoting her film ‘Ajakaju’ alongside controversial transgender figure, Bobrisky.
According to The Nation, the premiere of ‘Ajakaju’ was marred by controversy when Bobrisky was named “best-dressed female” at the event, overshadowing the film itself.
The backlash from the public and celebrities spilled over onto social media platforms, with heated exchanges taking place over Bobrisky’s recognition at the ceremony.
Ajao later issued an apology, clarifying that Bobrisky’s award was meant as a publicity stunt and subsequently announced new winners for the category.
Despite Ajao’s explanation, Bobrisky was recently seen at a cinema in Ikeja promoting ‘Ajakaju’, sparking further criticism.
In response to the video, Benjamin took to social media to express his disapproval of Ajao’s alleged use of Bobrisky for the movie’s promotion, questioning the sincerity of her intentions.
Benjamin accused Ajao of being misleading about her motives, especially considering her earlier statement that the award given to Bobrisky was merely a publicity stunt.
His post on social media highlighted the apparent contradiction in Ajao’s actions, questioning the authenticity of the entire situation.
