Jordan is actively engaging in diplomatic efforts to halt Israeli aggression, seeking global support for peace in the region amidst ongoing tensions.
While visiting Egypt on Tuesday, Jordan’s Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi emphasized that his country’s main objective is “to halt Israeli aggression towards Lebanon.” He made these remarks during a meeting with his Egyptian counterpart, Badr Abdelatty.
Officials mentioned that the meeting involved a discussion about the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah, the militant group located in Lebanon.
Jordan’s Foreign Minister, Ayman Safadi, emphasized the urgent need to stop Israeli aggression against Lebanon. He pointed out that after addressing this issue, it is crucial to implement the initiative proposed by Lebanon’s caretaker Prime Minister and ensure full adherence to Resolution 1701. According to Safadi, achieving these objectives should be prioritized as they will promote stability and prevent further escalation in the region.

Last week, Israel launched a ground invasion in southern Lebanon to target Hezbollah positions following several months of attacks from the group on northern Israeli territories.
Badr Abdelatty stated that efforts are ongoing to secure an Arab-mediated ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, aiming to end Israel’s aggressive actions there and against Palestinian civilians in the West Bank.
On Tuesday, Hezbollah launched additional rockets into Israel. The acting leader of the militant group vowed to maintain the pressure that has led thousands of Israelis near the Lebanese border to evacuate their homes.
