Former President Goodluck Jonathan met with the new Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Dr Denis Otuaro, where he emphasized the importance of ensuring that more individuals in the Niger Delta region benefit from educational scholarships provided by the Programme.
Jonathan also urged Otuaro to focus on taking the programme back to the region to increase the exposure of more people to the positive impact of the Federal Government.
Additionally, the former President highlighted the significance of women empowerment as a crucial aspect of efforts to enhance peace in the region.
Otuaro, the Administrator, expressed his gratitude towards Jonathan for his invaluable contribution to peace and development not only in the Niger Delta but also across the entire country.

He assured that under his leadership, the PAP would remain committed to the original plan of sustaining peace and development in the Niger Delta region.
Otuaro emphasized that the PAP would place a strong focus on education, women empowerment, peace-building, and other key areas as suggested by Jonathan.
Lastly, he pledged to consult with respected elders in the region periodically to ensure peace, stability, and economic growth in the area.
