John Terry, a Chelsea icon, has joined Al-Shabab and is “set to make his first managerial breakthrough.”
The Saudi Pro League team reportedly approached Terry two months ago, and a verbal agreement was made. This is according to the UK Sun.
A two-year minimum first contract was made available to the 42-year-old.
If the deal is completed, however, this might last up to four years.
Terry will join other former Premier League players in the Saudi Pro League, including his former England teammate Steven Gerrard, who presently manages Al-Ettifaq, if he is given the position.
After serving as a consultant in Chelsea’s youth academy this year, Terry would be taking on his first full managerial position in this capacity.
