A prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, Joe Igbokwe, expressed concern on Saturday regarding the surveillance of President Bola Tinubu.
Igbokwe mentioned that certain individuals have resorted to using witchcraft and “monitoring spirits” to keep tabs on Tinubu’s movements and actions.
He highlighted that Tinubu is being closely watched to observe if he stumbles or makes errors during his public appearances.
On his Facebook page, Igbokwe stated that this monitoring activity is expected to persist for eight years.
He emphasised that individuals are shadowing Tinubu wherever he goes, scrutinising his every move to anticipate any potential missteps or mishaps.
Tinubu had a slip during the Democracy Day celebration at Eagles Square on June 12, which was later addressed by the President during the Democracy Day dinner night at the Presidential Villa.
The president humorously mentioned the incident, alluding to the confusion surrounding his attire and actions and emphasising the importance of celebrating democracy on such occasions.
