Civil servants in Jigawa State have been reported to have not returned to work after the Eid holidays, causing concerns about the efficiency and productivity of government operations.

The Federal Government initially declared a two-day holiday for the Eid festivities, but due to the crescent moon not being sighted on Monday, the holiday was extended to Thursday, leading to an extended break for the civil servants.

The Head of the Civil Service in Jigawa State, Alhaji Muhammad K Dagaceri, has emphasized the importance of punctuality and dedication to duties among civil servants in the state.
