Jada Pollock: ‘I’m More Than Just Wizkid’s Baby Mama’
Jada Pollock, talent manager and mother of Wizkid’s children, has expressed her views on the constraints associated with being called a “baby mama.
In a recent interview with BET UK, Jada conveyed her frustration about being primarily associated with her relationship with the award-winning singer, instead of being acknowledged for her professional achievements.
Jada remembered a particular occasion when she composed a statement celebrating the advancement of Afrobeat after Wizkid’s Grammy victory.
Nevertheless, blogs captioned her statement as “Wizkid’s baby mama,” which diminished recognition of her entrepreneurial spirit and hard work.
“When Wizkid received a Grammy, I penned an article discussing the remarkable journey of Afrobeat. The publication featured my piece with the caption ‘Wizkid’s baby mama.’ This portrayal fails to acknowledge that I’m not only an entrepreneur and dedicated businesswoman but also more than just a mother—I’m a manager who has contributed significantly to building his legacy,” she explained.
She aims to change the narrative and gain recognition for her professional achievements, instead of being known solely for her relationship.
