J. Cole, the renowned American rapper, has publicly expressed his remorse and issued an apology to his fellow rapper Kendrick Lamar for his previous diss track.
The incident occurred when J. Cole retaliated against Lamar’s diss towards him and Drake on the song ‘Like That’ by Future and Metro Boomin.
In his response track titled ‘7 Minute Drill,’ J. Cole compared Lamar’s decline to that of the long-running animated series, The Simpsons.
However, during his performance at the 2024 Dreamville Festival in North Carolina, J. Cole unexpectedly halted his set to extend his apologies to Lamar.
Not only did J. Cole apologize, but he also made a promise to remove the diss track from all streaming platforms.
He expressed his deep regret and admitted that the diss track was a mistake that didn’t align with his values and inner peace.

J. Cole openly shared his struggle with releasing the Kendrick Lamar diss, acknowledging that it didn’t sit right with his spirit.
He emphasized his admiration for Lamar’s talent and asked the audience if they believed Kendrick Lamar to be one of the greatest artists to ever touch a microphone.
J. Cole concluded by expressing his love for Lamar and his hope that his colleague didn’t take offense to the diss.
The rapper confessed that he had been losing sleep over the situation and assured everyone that the diss track would be removed from streaming services.
