Iyabo Oko, veteran Yoruba actress, dies at 61

Iyabo Oko, a well-known Yoruba actress whose real name was Sidikat Odunkanwi, has passed away.

Iyabo Oko passed away on Wednesday, according to Bisi Aisha, one of the actress’s daughters, who posted the news on a Facebook page on Thursday.

She inscribed: “May ur soul rest in peace, mummy.”

Actress Iyabo Ojo posted images of the deceased actress on her Facebook page and added: “Nollywood mourns. Iyabo OKO, a veteran actress, passed away.

The 61-year-old actress struggled with illness prior to her passing, which forced her to take a significant vacation from the movie industry.
