The appointment of Razan Al Mubarak to the position of UN Climate Change High-Level Champion for COP28, which she will carry out in addition to her duties as IUCN President, was made public on January 12, 2023, in the UAE. To bridge the efforts from COP27 to COP28 in the UAE in 2023, Razan will collaborate with Mahmoud Mohiedin, the UN’s High-Level Champion for COP27 on climate change.
