Italian rapper injured by fan accuses selfie of being “madness”
She claimed that taking photos was “the most important thing for people to do, but it has become very dangerous.” It’s crazy, I say.
Italian rapper Baby K, who was hurt by a fan and had to cancel the remainder of her tour, spoke out against the “madness” of selfies on Wednesday. She also demanded more protection for artists.
In a video uploaded on TikTok, Baby K claimed that she experienced “breast trauma” as a result of being “charged at” by a woman following a concert on Monday in Teramo, Italy, when a throng of fans pressed up against her for photographs.
Before being forced to end her summer tour, the 40-year-old rapper and singer said she had lung problems and had been hospitalised for evaluation.
She claimed that taking photos was “the most important thing for people to do, but it has become very dangerous.” It’s crazy, I say.
“I’m not upset that I’m taking images… but it’s out of control. Safety must always come first, she emphasised, accusing the Italian police of ineffective crowd control.
Numerous tens of thousands of records have been sold by Baby K, whose true name is Claudia Nahum. “Roma Bangkok” and “Killer” are two of her best-known songs.
Her music video for “Roma Bangkok” has had over 300 million views on her YouTube account, and she has over 730,000 Instagram followers.
