Ita Enang, a former adviser to Buhari, has been expelled from the APC
Ita Enang, a former special adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari, was dismissed from the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akwa Ibom State for what the party described as “anti-party conduct.”
The expulsion followed recommendations from Enang’s ward in the state’s Ibiono Ibom LGA.
The APC’s state working committee, which is chaired by Stephen Ntukekpo, the party’s chairman, ratified the ward’s recommendations to remove him in a letter dated January 24, 2023.
According to the letter, his indulgence with the PDP in Akwa Ibom State and his willful but illegal defiance of the APC’s instructions are examples of his anti-party conduct.
Sen. Ita Solomon Enang is now expelled from the All Progressives Congress, it said. “Therefore, I write on behalf of the state working committee (SWC) to ratify the judgement of the disciplinary committee of the All Progressives Congress.”
A week prior, an appeals court had affirmed Akanimo Udofia as the legitimate APC candidate for Akwa Ibom.
