On Wednesday, the IDF reported conducting airstrikes on Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon. The action follows Defense Minister Yoav Gallant’s announcement of a “new phase” for Israel’s conflict with Hamas in Gaza and pro-Palestinian fighters in Lebanon.
The IDF reported that in Jebbayn, Haltam Kafr Kila, Odaisseh and Chama locations used by Hezbollah operatives were hit along with a rocket launcher via warplane strikes.

According to the Times of Israel, more than 40 rockets were fired from Lebanon into northern Israel on Wednesday before air raids ensued.
After hundreds of handheld pagers and walkie-talkies used by Hezbollah militants exploded across Lebanon on Tuesday and Wednesday, resulting in the death of at least 32 individuals and injuring approximately 3,200 others, they have pledged to take revenge against Israel.
Despite the Jewish state’s denial, various news outlets claimed that Mossad – Israel’s intelligence agency – had planted explosives in the devices.
On Wednesday, Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi announced that the IDF has moved its highly trained 98th Paratrooper Division from northern Gaza to the Lebanese border in response to rising tensions with Hezbollah.
