The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have released a video claiming to depict their warplanes targeting Hezbollah military infrastructure in southern Lebanon.

According to a post on X (formerly known as Twitter), the IDF stated that Wednesday’s bombardment targeted the group’s personnel, arms depots, observation posts, and various other facilities.

The clip included aerial footage of strikes reportedly carried out in the settlements of Aitaroun, Maroun al-Ras, and Odaisseh in southern Lebanon.

The IDF reported that approximately 40 rockets were launched from Lebanon towards the Safed area in Upper Galilee, northern Israel, on Wednesday. Some of these rockets were intercepted while others struck the ground. Additionally, according to Israeli military sources, several drones aimed at Western Galilee were successfully shot down by air defenses.

The Lebanese health ministry reports that Israeli strikes over the past several weeks have resulted in more than 1,000 deaths and approximately 6,000 injuries amid a significant escalation of hostilities.

Skirmishes along the border between the IDF and Hezbollah have been ongoing since Israel initiated its military operation in Gaza, following a Hamas incursion last October.

On Monday, Israel initiated ground operations in Lebanon as special forces conducted raids within the neighboring country. Reports from The Times and various Middle Eastern sources on Wednesday indicated that the IDF endured significant casualties during an ambush by Hezbollah fighters near Odaisseh, with several fatalities reported but not yet confirmed. To date, Israel has officially verified the death of one soldier inside Lebanon.
