Local authorities report that at least one person has died and several others are injured after a terrorist attack in the southern Israeli city of Beersheba.
In a post on X on Sunday, Israeli police reported receiving information about a suspected shooting at the central bus station and stated that “the terrorist had been neutralized,” without offering additional details.
Magen David Adom, Israel’s medical service, initially reported that nine individuals were injured in the attack and that the perpetrator was shot dead at the scene. Later, The Times of Israel updated this information by stating that one of the victims, a 25-year-old woman who had been critically injured, passed away from her wounds.

Footage from the incident reveals chaotic scenes, featuring an armed woman—seemingly a security guard—aiming her gun at a man who appears to be lying in a pool of blood. Additional clips depict another body situated nearby on the bloodstained floor.
The attack occurs amidst a recent escalation in tensions between Israel and Hezbollah, following the assassination of Hassan Nasrallah, the group’s longtime leader who was regarded as a symbol of resistance against Israel.
