Israel declares that March will see direct flights to Nigeria.
The Israeli government announced on Wednesday that direct flights between Israel and Nigeria will start in March.
The idea was dropped in Jerusalem by Sharon Bar-Li, who is in charge of the Africa Division of the Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The flights, according to the official, will strengthen ties between Africa and the Middle East.
NAN says that we will grow because there is no way for Israel to get into Africa right now.
Bar-Li talked about her time as ambassador to Ghana and how hard it was to get around because there were no direct flights.
Following the opening of the Israel-Nigeria connection, the ambassador predicts “a major transformation.”
The DG went on to say that business will do well because people “would be able to come and go easily.”
According to Bar-Li, because Israel is a religious nation, both Nigerian Muslims and Christians make pilgrimages there.
Jerusalem is an important location for free religions, not just for Christians and Jews but also for Muslims who travel there to do the mini-hajj.
Bar-Li expressed excitement about welcoming the Aviation Minister (Hadi Sirika) for the route’s first flight between Israel and Nigeria.
