Sources have informed the BBC that Israel and Hamas have agreed to a ceasefire deal.

President-elect Donald Trump announced, “We have reached a deal for the hostages,” adding that “they will be released soon.”

A source familiar with the discussions informed the BBC: “A Gaza ceasefire and hostage release agreement has been achieved after meetings between the Qatari Prime Minister, Hamas negotiators, and separately Israeli negotiators in his office.”
