Islamic organisation requests that Atiku congratulate Tinubu on Supreme Court ruling
The main opposition candidate, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, has been urged by the Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) in Nigeria to congratulate President Bola Tinubu on his victory.
In a statement released on Friday, Prof. Ishaq Akintola, the Executive Director of MURIC, pleaded with Abubakar to show political maturity and Islamic brotherhood by congratulating the winner.
Akintola declared that with the Supreme Court’s final ruling, the legal fireworks had ended and politics was over.
But the moment to develop our country is now; we have to get to work.
It matters to MURIC that you are both Muslims. First and foremost, before to entering politics, you two were Muslims. To mend broken hearts, to create bridges, and to calm anxieties, you must now work together,” he urged.
