The residents of Isaba community in Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State have emphatically stated that it is their time to have one of their own as the chairman of the council.

They are urging Governor Sheriff Oborevwori to support their cause and ensure that an indigene of their community is appointed as the next chairman, highlighting the long-standing political marginalization they have faced under the ruling political class in the state.

Comrade Edwin Doufa and Obadiah Wareseimere, representing the Isaba Community Central Executive, conveyed this message during a press briefing, emphasizing the need for fairness, equity, and justice in political appointments.

Expressing their disappointment at being overlooked for key positions, they pointed out the lack of representation in various governmental roles since the establishment of the LGA in 1996.

Despite their loyalty and support to the Peoples Democratic Party, they feel that their contributions have not been recognized through appointments or elective positions.

The plea to have an Isaba son as the Warri-South-West Local Government chairman in the upcoming elections is a heartfelt appeal for recognition and inclusion in decision-making processes.

They are reaching out to influential leaders, such as Former Governor of Delta State, Senator(Dr) Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, and the state’s party chairman, Olorogun Barr. Kingsley Esiso, to advocate on their behalf and consider their request for representation in the council.
