In a recent statement, the Presidency has clarified its stance on the appointments of Babatunde Irukera and Alexander Ayoola Okoh. Contrary to previous reports, the statement emphasized that the intention was not to dismiss the former CEOs but rather to relieve them of their duties while the search for their replacements continues.

The President’s directive was not meant to imply dismissal, and the use of the word “dismissal” in previous reports was not intended.

President Tinubu expressed gratitude to both individuals for their service and wished them well in their future endeavors.
