On Tuesday in Abuja, the Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC) reaffirmed its support for the policies and initiatives of President Tinubu’s administration.

When he led a group of council members on a courtesy visit to the Vice President, Kashim Shettima, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, the National Chairman of IPAC, Mr. Yabaji Sani, informed newsmen of this.

According to him, it was necessary to make difficult decisions about the withdrawal of the fuel subsidy and the foreign exchange rate.

He claims that by eliminating the fuel subsidy in July, the government made N1.9 trillion.

“The Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC), the body that unites all political parties, deems it necessary and significant to meet with the Vice President in order to reassure the administration that we are on the same page.

We are through some difficult circumstances, as you are all aware. Beginnings are often challenging in everything you do. We come here to support the government, so.

We also want to convey to Nigerians and the rest of the world our political parties’ commitment to working together to expand democracy and ensure that we have a stable, forward-thinking, and effective administration.

He noted that Nigerians are in need of comfort and that political parties speak for the populace.

“We think that going here will further reassure the people of our nation that, despite whatever must occur, we are politically unified. Democracy includes this.

Democracy is a process rather than an end point. We are sturdily constructing on the foundation of democracy, which we regard as the pride of the black race. The reason we are here is so that we can prove that democracy is the best type of government.

Adding that both Shettima and President Bola Tinubu have been through the political fire, they are compelled to build on what the nation has already accomplished. He characterised President Bola Tinubu as a democrat who personifies democracy.

He claims that Vice President Shettima assured IPAC that they would meet with him frequently in an effort to strengthen the nation’s democracy.
