Any support for a transitional administration, according to the governor of Plateau State, is contrary to the democratic concept.
The governor of Plateau State, Simon Lalong, said people who support a transitional administration following President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration are fantasising.
He said this during a meeting they had on Thursday at the State House in Abuja.
He claimed during a conversation with State House reporters that the President’s pledge to preserve democracy would be violated if temporary government were supported.
He expressed confidence that the incoming president, Bola Tinubu, will live up to Nigerians’ aspirations and get things moving right away after taking office on May 29, 2023.

On Tinubu’s efforts in Lagos State, Lalong predicted that as the party strives to fulfil its election-year pledges, the President-Elect will go above and beyond expectations.
A scheme by “misguided” political players to overthrow the constitution and appoint an interim administration had been reported to the Department of State Services (DSS) on Wednesday.
In addition, the secret police said that the strategy being followed by these “entrenched interests” is not only an anomaly but also a “mischievous manner” to disregard the constitution and undermine civil rule, warning that doing so will push the nation into an unnecessary catastrophe.
