Omoyele Sowore, a presidential candidate for the African Action Congress (AAC) in the general election on February 25, has said that the security crisis in Kaduna, the Middle Belt, and the South East was made worse by the former president Muhammadu Buhari’s delay and haughtiness.
Sowore asserted that Buhari didn’t pretend to be a sectional head in a post on his social media account on Saturday, saying that he actually exercised sectional head authority.
Furthermore, he claimed that the former president made sure his pledge to conquer Nigeria in the service of his primal values was carried out fully.
In response, he asked, “How did the Buhari regime’s policies contribute to the unrest in Kaduna, the Middle Belt, and the South East?
“Buhari actively led Nigeria as a sectional head, not just pretended to be one. To the best extent possible, he carried out his pledge to subdue Nigeria in the service of his fundamentalist views.
“His heavy handedness in the South East and inaction in glaring cases of insecurity in Kaduna and the Middle Belt worsened the security crisis.”
