After clinching the Copa America championship title last week, he was presented with a plaque in honor of his 45th significant triumph as both a national and club player.

In the final match against Colombia, Messi was substituted out due to his ankle swelling up to almost twice its normal size in Argentina’s team.

The duration of his absence from the game is uncertain, as per the team coach who stated that his ankle would be assessed on a week-by-week basis.
