Ini Edo Debunks Engagement Rumors, States Marriage Is Not a Priority

Nollywood actress Ini Edo has dismissed recent engagement rumors, clarifying that marriage is not currently a priority in her life as she focuses on her career and personal growth.

Renowned Nigerian actress Ini Edo has responded to recent rumors regarding her possible marriage.

Remember that the reports gained widespread attention in September 2024 when Ini Edo posted a photo of herself on her official page wearing a traditional Efik bridal gown accompanied by an affectionate caption.

During her latest interview with Premium Times, the actress explained that the post was intended to promote her upcoming four-part series, ‘My Fairytale Wedding,’ rather than announce an engagement.

When asked whether she envisioned having a real-life fairytale wedding one day, Ini Edo mentioned that marriage is not a priority for her anymore.

“I’m not particularly focused on marriage; what truly matters to me is having a strong relationship. It’s not something I’m wishing for or including in my prayers.”

It has been reported that the actress was once married to Nigerian-American businessman Philip Ehiagwina. They wed in 2008 and divorced in 2014.
