Tuesday, Rev Udoh- Following the state’s presidential and National Assembly elections on Saturday, Tom, INEC’s Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) for Delta State, verified the death of one election official.
The anonymous official was shot on his way to give election results on Saturday in the state’s Ukwani Local Government Area, according to Udoh-Tom, who revealed this to reporters on Monday in Asaba.

When delivering the election results after the election, one of our staff members was shot during an incident in the Ukwani LGA, according to Udoh-Tom.
Sadly, the INEC official was killed when the assailants opened fire on their bus; several passengers were injured. The other injured members of the ad hoc staff were found to be National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) volunteers. They are already receiving medical care, but we are figuring out how to transfer them to an Asaba hospital.
