On Saturday, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced that senior officials had opened an inquiry into claims that result sheets from several polling places in Kogi state had been falsified.
Minutes after images of the falsified sheets surfaced, INEC made this announcement on its X account.

“A tip indicating that filled-out result sheets were found in several Kogi State voting places has caught our notice.
The Commission considers this circumstance to be grave.
“We currently have senior officials deployed to the State who are looking into the incident(s).” The Commission declared that it will really convey its conclusion.
