The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) announced plans to train twenty-nine South Korean teachers for the Smart Education Project.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the teachers came from six states: Cross River, Bauchi, Anambra, Nasarawa, Kano, and Ekiti, representing the country’s six geopolitical zones.

According to NAN, the training, which will take place from July 29 to August 19, 2023, is part of the activities of the Smart School Education initiative, which the two agencies signed in 2021.

In a statement published in Abuja on Friday, Mr Son Sungil, Country Director of KOICA, stated that instructors play critical roles in the lives of students and the success of the smart school initiative.

“Also, the installation of content development studios in each of the 6 Smart Schools,” he added.
