The party’s executive members from Oyo State have been expelled by Accord’s national leadership.
The party’s executive members have been disbanded immediately, according to the party leadership.

A few hours after Mr. Kolade Ojo, the party’s chairman, and a few state executive members declared their support for Peoples Democratic Party Governor Seyi Makinde, the party’s state executive was dissolved (PDP).
The state executive members of the party would endorse Makinde in the upcoming gubernatorial election on Saturday, according to a press conference held in Ibadan by Ojo and his colleagues.
The state executive members have been dismissed due to anti-party behaviour, according to the national leadership of Accord.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) National Chairperson, Professor Mahmood Yakubu, received a letter from the National Chairman of Accord, Muhammad Nalado, in which he made this declaration.
The party forwarded copies of their letter to the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) in the state, the Oyo Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), the Oyo State Commissioner of Police, the Director of the Department of State Security (DSS), and other officials.

As a replacement for the disbanded executives, Nalado said that a caretaker committee had been established.
Alhaji Isiaka Salami would be in charge of the caretaker committee, while Mr. Bashiru Ayobami would be in charge of administration.
Hon. Fatai Salawu, Mrs. Bimpe Martins, and Hon. Ayodele Oyajide are additional members of the caretaker committee.
The party stated, “We desire to inform the Commission that the Oyo State Chapter of the State Executives of our great party, ‘ACCORD,’ has been dissolved with immediate effect as a result of Anti-Party Actions and Gross Misconduct by the State Excos. Our great party’s emergency National Working Committee (NWC) meeting was held on March 8, 2023, at the National Secretariat in Abuja, where this decision was made.
To manage the party’s business while waiting for the State Congress Elections to take place, the following party members have been chosen to serve on the Caretaker Committee:
“Mr. Bashiru Ayobami; Caretaker Chairman Alh. Isiaka Salami. Member: Hon. Ayodele Oyajide; members: Mrs. Bimpe Martins, Hon. Fatai Salawu.
“We request the Commission’s courteous attention and any essential cooperation for this Caretaker Committee.”
