In Kaduna, troops defeat infamous bandit leader “Dogo Maikasuwa”
Security personnel murdered known bandit leader Dogo Maikasuwa during a clearing operation in Kaduna State’s Chikun Local Government Area.
Samuel Aruwan, the state’s commissioner for home affairs and internal security, verified this.
According to Aruwan, the famed bandit and hisfoot men were ambushed by security personnel in a forest along the Chikun and Kajuru borders in the Gengere-Kaso general area.
The security forces effectively neutralized the bandit commander, according to the report, and they also took two motorbikes, an AK-47 weapon, a magazine, five rounds of ammo, and a set of camouflage military fatigues from them.
While it was further learned that one of the bandits died from wounds received in the hard combat, his remains were carried away by other fleeing criminal elements, other bandits managed to escape with gunshot wounds.
According to the Commissioner, Dogo Maikasuwa, also known as Dogo Maimillion, organized a slew of assaults and kidnappings against commuters on the Kaduna-Kachia Road as well as residents of the Chikun and Kajuru LGAs.
He was one of the fiercest bandits, organizing other criminals to terrorize the local populace.
He always carried an AK47 weapon and was wearing green military fatigues, according to human intelligence sources.
He appeared in this way throughout the battle with the security personnel, which finally ended with his death.
Additionally, it was discovered that he commanded his bandits to carry out harsh operations, including killing abducted captives when demanded ransoms were delayed or deemed insufficient.
