Unknown gunmen have destroyed another government building in Imo State, which is in the southeast of the country.
Some important documents may have been burned when attackers set fire to the building in Orlu, Imo State, that housed the high court and magistrates’ court.
Little more than a week had passed since the brazen armed men attacked the INEC headquarters in Owerri, the state capital, with their weapons drawn.

Barnabas Munonye, the chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association’s Orlu branch, who confirmed the occurrence, called it a very regrettable development.
He said that the association’s administrative secretary had brought the matter to his knowledge early on Saturday.
The attack was also confirmed by CSP Mike Abattam, the Imo State Police Public Relations Officer.
According to the PPRO, police had opened an investigation into the event.
