The All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, Alhaji Abdullahi Ganduje, established a nine-person committee on Thursday in Abuja to address the impeachment situation affecting the Ondo State Government.
Ganduje’s chief press secretary, Mr. Edwin Olofu, made the announcement in a statement.
He claimed that the group, headed by former Katsina State governor Aminu Masari, will also work to bring about a peaceful settlement between all sides.
The bad political scenario in Ondo State, which could cause more dissatisfaction among party supporters if it is not immediately resolved, truly worries the national secretariat of the party.
“Therefore, the national secretariat has chosen to intervene in order to prevent the misunderstanding and after rigorous evaluation of the circumstance.
To promote improved communication that might ultimately result in a cooperative solution, Ganduje said.
He gave the party members assurances that the committee would engage in respectful discourse and interaction with all of its stakeholders in the state in an effort to resolve the situation permanently.
He pleaded with all parties to maintain their composure and provide the Masari-led committee all the assistance and support it needs.
