Imo police officer attacked by youths for taking election materials
In Imo State, young people from the community have physically assaulted a police officer who they believe stole electoral materials from a polling place.
It was discovered that the officer was linked to an All Progressives Congress (APC) chairman in the Ikeduru Local Government Area, along with a few other people.
The politician allegedly gave them instructions to steal votes at the Amakohia Ikeduru Collation Centre, where the APC was defeated.
While some of the police officers fled, the young people in the community managed to apprehend one of them.
