Imo guber: Uzodimma invites PDP and LP candidates to join his government
Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma has extended an invitation to his rivals in the just concluded gubernatorial contest to work together to improve the state.
He claimed that the people of the state had triumphed rather than his opponents.
All Progressives Congress (APC) member Uzodimma reached out to his opponents in a Monday afternoon state broadcast.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s Samuel Anyanwu and the Labour Party’s Athan Achonu were defeated handily by the former senator.
One day after being proclaimed the winner of the off-cycle poll by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the Imo helmsman gave an acceptance speech.
According to a Supreme Court decision, Uzodimma emerged victorious in the governorship race after unseating PDP candidate Emeka Ihedioha, as reported by OBASANJO NEWS24.
The governor claimed that God, who also gave him his previous term’s win, was the source of his success on Saturday.
“To the glory of God, I was proclaimed the election winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission, or INEC, yesterday. I commend and offer my condolences to my brothers who have disagreed with me, as it has pleased God and the Imo people to bestow that honour upon me. There can only be one winner in a democratic competition such as the one on Saturday, he stated.
“I extend my congratulations and sympathies to my brothers who ran alongside me in the election.
They were victorious. Thus, I’m calling on everyone to come work with me to create the Imo of their combined desires.
