Imo guber campaign council’s 481 members are formally introduced by the LP
For the purpose of planning and directing its campaign for the governorship election on November 11, the Labour Party (LP) in Imo has established a 481-member campaign council.
Mr. Callistus Ihejiagwa, the state chairman, advised the attendees at the ceremony in Owerri not to make light of the “fierce urgency” of saving the state.
“You have emerged as the standard bearer for the LP, our candidate, Sen. Athan Achonu, and Peter Obi in every corner and cranny of your communities.
Ihejiagwa stated, “This is a call to duty, service, and selfless sacrifice for the good of Imo.”
Additionally, he exhorted the council to fulfil its duty with pride, dignity, and selflessness, “knowing that God has anointed you to liberate Imo.”
“The populace won’t pardon us if we let them down. He also added, “Our kids won’t forget us.
He claimed that because of the state’s security concerns, many people were obliged to attend customary celebrations elsewhere for fear of home invasions.
“They claim that LP lacks huge automobiles and a strong structure, but those who have these things are the ones who have the corrupt system that Peter Obi is here to destroy, not those who have small cars and weak structures.
They have gorged themselves on the joint treasuries of the state and Nigeria, after all.
“Imo and Nigeria need to change.
The state chairman declared that “a new Imo and Nigeria are possible and attainable.”
