Following the announcement by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) that he had won the state’s governorship on Saturday, Imo State’s governor, Hope Uzodinma, has made public his first action.

According to Uzodinma, he entered the chapel and thanked God for making sure he won the election on Saturday.

At a Monday press conference in Owerri, the state capital, the governor revealed this.

Additionally, Uzodinma gave thanks to God Almighty for his win.

“To the glory of God, INEC declared me the winner of the governorship election held in our state on Saturday,” he stated.

“I embrace the great honour and privilege of serving as your governor for a second term with a deep sense of humility and unwavering confidence in God.

“The first thing I did after hearing the news was go to the chapel to thank God for his goodness to me and the people of Imo State because I acknowledge God in everything I do and because I know that power comes from God.”

Naturally, I will never be able to express my gratitude to God enough for doing it again for me. I dedicate this win to God and the noble people of Imo State because the Almighty God has proven himself capable of doing so both four years ago and again.
