Imo auto collision results in five deaths and numerous injuries
Five individuals lost their lives, and several others sustained injuries in a tragic accident involving a transit bus and a tipper at the Orogwe market bus stop in the Owerri West Local Government Area of Imo State.
The bus, which belonged to the Lords Chosen Ministry, was carrying church members from Lagos State to Owerri for a program when the incident occurred.
An eyewitness named Daniel Iwu recounted that the tipper was emerging from a bend when the bus, traveling at a high speed, tried to swerve to avoid it.
Unfortunately, the tipper collided with the bus from behind, causing it to crash into a roadside culvert.

The conductor and driver of the tipper lost their lives instantly, while the bus ended up crushing three individuals who were waiting at the bus stop.
Miraculously, the bus driver survived the collision. Iwu described the sequence of events, mentioning that the accident took place as the two vehicles were en route from Onitsha to Owerri.
The survivor of the incident shared their account, revealing that many passengers were on board the bus, heading to a church event in Owerri when the tragedy unfolded.
Numerous individuals were rushed to the hospital, with many having to be extricated from beneath the bus after the accident.
