In Edo, Philip Shaibu announces his unofficial membership in APC. Learn more about his declaration and its potential impact.

On Friday, Philips Shaibu, the reinstated Deputy Governor of Edo State announced that he considers himself to be an unofficial member of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Shaibu indicated that he is still a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) because he has not completely cut off his connection with the party.

During his appearance on Arise Television’s Morning Show program, he spoke.

The deputy governor, who is facing a difficult situation, clarified his endorsement of Monday Okpebholo as the APC’s candidate for Edo State by declaring that he no longer has an allegiance to the PDP.

According to him, individuals are free to give their support for the candidate of their choice in PDP. He stated that the constitution secures one’s right to endorse any political party or individual they desire.

It should be remembered that Shaibu recently gave campaign vehicles to Okpebholo.

While he was immersed in a confrontation with Governor Godwin Obaseki, resulting in his removal from office as deputy governor, the donation was made.

On Thursday, Shaibu was reinstated as deputy governor by the Abuja Federal High Court.
