Governor Fubara declares his commitment to making bold decisions to drive the progress and development of Rivers State, emphasizing his vision for a better future.

Siminalayi Fubara, the Governor of Rivers State, has expressed his commitment to taking bold and decisive measures to tackle challenges and promote progress in both the state and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Governor Fubara’s declaration occurs against the backdrop of his longstanding feud with former Governor Nyesom Wike.

Fubara expressed his condolences to Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed during a visit to the Government House on Saturday evening. The visit followed the passing of the governor’s stepmother, Hauwa Duguri, who died at the beginning of the new year.

During the visit, Fubara remarked that despite a slight delay, their strong relationship and mutual commitment to tackling crucial issues remained top priority.

“I understand that this visit is somewhat overdue, but what truly matters is our presence here. We are here to offer consolation to the Bauchi governor for his mother’s passing,” he stated.

In his remarks to Governor Mohammed, Fubara recognized the difficulties inherent in leadership and emphasized the need to rise to the occasion when required.

“I understand it’s a challenging task and that criticism is inevitable, but there comes a time when you must stand firm and take a clear stance to ensure things are done correctly,” he said.

“I assure you, this is not the conclusion of our visit. We will persist in collaborating to promote unity and growth for both states,” he added.
