I’m on my way, please hold my place – Segun Sowunmi hints on defecting to APC
Segun Sowunmi, the former spokesperson for Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has revealed his intention to defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He has requested Daniel Bwala, a former campaign spokesman for Atiku, to reserve a place for him in the APC as he contemplates leaving the PDP. Sowunmi justified his potential move to the APC by citing the PDP’s failure to initiate necessary reforms within the party.
During a discussion on Twitter, he questioned whether he would criticize President Bola Tinubu more than he already has and expressed his commitment to the PDP despite its past challenges.
However, if the party refuses to embrace reform, he implored Bwala to keep a space for him in the APC, indicating his readiness to join the ruling party.
