Manny Monie, a young musician from Nigeria and a previous signee to the tumultuous singer Habeeb Okikiola’s record company, Portable, has acknowledged being responsible for the singer’s current issues.
In a popular social media video, Manny Monie disclosed that he petitioned the police to detain Portable.
For three months, he continued, Portable declined to reply to the petition.
Remember that in November, Manny Monie, Portable’s signee, was reportedly beaten for allegedly using another distributor?
Moreover, Portable stated that he generates millions of naira at the studio in a matter of days but that he was astonished to return after a month-long trip and find sales of only N7,000.
But Manny Monie said that despite having given him N700,000 to appear in one of his songs, his old boss had accused him of being a fake.
