In response to the faith, level of expectation, and weight of duty placed on him as he gets sworn in as the next president of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has promised not to let down his countrymen.
Today, after receiving the National Honour of Grand Commander of the Federal Republic (GCFR) at the State House from President Muhammadu Buhari, he made the announcement in his acceptance speech.

In addition, the President-elect said that his government would continue to contact President Buhari whenever necessary and that Nigerians deserve a better nation.

After Nnamdi Azikiwe, Obafemi Awolowo, Shehu Shagari, Olusegun Obasanjo, Abdulsalami Abubakar, Ibrahim Babangida, Ernest Shonekan, Sani Abacha, Umaru Yar’Adua, Goodluck Jonathan, and Moshood Abiola, the former governor of Lagos State is now the 16th person to receive the GCFR Honor.
