IGP Egbetokun names Tunde Disu as principal officer and presents a fresh policing approach

Tunji Disu, the commissioner of police, has been appointed as the Inspector General of Police’s (IGP) principal staff officer.

While introducing the new police tactics for the Nigeria Police Force, Egbetokun announced Disu’s appointment.

During the opening conference with strategic police managers, including members of the Force Management Team, assistant inspectors general of police, police commissioners, and other heads of police formations in the nation, on Friday at the Force Headquarters in Abuja, the IGP made public the new strategy intended to achieve operational successes and rekindle public trust.

According to a statement by the Force’s spokesman, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the IGP also named CSP Ganiyu Adebowale as the IGP’s personal assistant, SP Adewale Ajibuwa as the IGP’s chief protocol officer, DSP Sheriff Lawal as the IGP’s aid-de-camp, and DSP Olawole Ogunwusi as the IGP’s chief security officer.

The Nigeria Police Force, which is under the authority of the Inspector General of Police, will stand for quality, integrity, and compassion, he promises the public.

He urged everyone to work with the police to create a future where justice prevails, the weak find comfort, people go about their legitimate business without fear of molestation, and where everyone can fully believe in the authority of law enforcement, according to what he said.
