On Friday, Atiku Abubakar’s campaign for president of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, outlined what Bola Tinubu’s first task should be if he is elected on May 29.
The first goal for Tinubu, according to Atiku’s spokesperson Daniel Bwala, is to bring Nigerians together who think he manipulated the election.
As Peter Obi of the Labour Party won the state, Bwala criticised Tinubu’s silence about the denigration of Igbos in the state and questioned whether the next president could bring Nigerians together.
In several tweets, Bwala stated, “I personally feel the Igbo guy believes in the Nigerian project and lives it in his life and economics.
They must never be singled out and mistreated because of the actions of a small number of people on social media.
“Tinubu’s first duty, if and when he is sworn in on May 29, would be to bring a divided nation and people who lack confidence in him because he manipulated the election together.” Above anything in his ideology, that mission is greater.
